The Hajj is the fifth of the fundamental Muslim practices and institutions known as the Five Pillars of Islam. July 9 - 13 Islam Eid ul-Adha

Also known as Bakra Eid or Festival of the Sacrifice is a holy festival celebrated by Muslims around the world marking the culmination of the Hajj.   The holiday is in remembrance of the sacrifice Prophet Ibrahim made out of his strong faith in God (Allah) and is commemorated with the sacrifice of a goat, special prayers and exchanging gifts.  Many Muslims view Eid al-Adha as the holiest of the two Eids (the other one is Eid al-Fitr celebrated at the end of Ramadan). To remember Ibrahim's story, Muslims ritually sacrifice animals (usually a sheep).  A third of the portion of meat is eaten by the family who performs the sacrifice and the rest is given to the poor and needy.  This is a time for visiting friends and family, eating sweets and exchanging gifts.

July 9-10 Baha’i     Martyrdom of the Bab

This major holy day commemorates the events surrounding the death of the Báb who was executed in Tabriz, Persia on July 9, 1850.  The Bab was a Messenger of God who announced that he was the gateway to a new era for humankind.  It was his mission to prepare the people for the coming of another, greater Messenger (Baha’u’llah)  who would share divine teachings that would allow humanity to come together to create justice and usher in universal peace. The Bab was an advocate of the poor. He supported the advancement of women, universal education and the study of science.  These were radical ideas for that time.  Current Baha’i teachings promote the agreement of science and religion, gender equality, and the elimination of all prejudice and racism where all are welcome. Baha’is believe in each person’s capacity to find the truth for themselves (there is no clergy)  and that God periodically reveals his will through divine messengers, whose purpose is to transform the character of humankind and to develop moral and spiritual qualities.

July’s full Buck Moon orbits closer to Earth than any other full Moon this year, making it the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2022!   The Full Moon sits opposite the Sun and is fully illuminated creating heightened energy and challenges. As it ushers in the middle portion of the summer it is a time for manifestation; breaking free of old patterns and limiting beliefs thrusting you forward towards your best and highest self.  This Full Moon is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time. July 25 All Mayan Day Out of Time

The Day out of time is the culmination of the 13 Moon Calendar year originated from the Mayan science of time. On this day, Sirius (the dog star) rises with the sun and the day is observed as a day free of time.  This 'free day' is the closing of a 13 cycle of 28 days totaling 364 days in the year.  This day is the 365th day and according to the Galactic Calendar, it is the final day of the year and synchronized to July 25th, but has no day of the week or day of the month.  While it is celebrated like  a “Leap Day/New Years Eve”, on a higher level it is a day of atonement, purification and an opportunity to reflect and celebrate before the New Year begins on July 26th.  Take this day to unplug from the mundane and connect with Mother Earth and your community to appreciate the magic of life and pure timelessness. As a day free of time, it’s  charged with spiritual energy providing unusual access to higher frequency portals; opening intense connections with the spiritual world.
